(More customer reviews)This thing is far from 'quite'. Not sure how loud the other reviewers pump was, but this thing makes a racket in my opinion. And no, it doesn't seem broken at all. This is probably how all of them sound.
Not only does it emit a very low frequency 'buzz' that resonates all throughout my apartment (much louder than my fridge), but there is a high pitch buzzing noise as well. This thing is driving me crazy, I am probably going to have to buy/make some kind of sound dampening box or something to put this in because it's buzzing is one of the most annoying sounds I have ever heard in my life.
Using my SPL meter, this thing is running at about 70dB.
Aside from that it seems to run fine, gets a little warm though.
