(More customer reviews)Once again I must reiterate that betta splendens deserve better homes than these stupid little tanks that the pet industry tries to make money off on. Bettas are not puddle fishes. The notion that bettas are happy in a small amount of water is purely a myth. The truth is that wild bettas lives in vast rice paddies that are a hundred times bigger than this awful AquaClock Skeleton Aquarium. The pet industry loves to exploit this myth and bad information by creating bad products like this stupid clock.
Truth be told for about $40-$60, you can get a 10 gallon tank kit and an adjustable heater, decorate it with lots of plants (silk or real) and some sort of cave, bridge or one of those floating logs, and you will have one happy betta. I guarantee you that if you put a fish in this stupid contraption it will get bored and cold and its lifespan will be shortened greatly. The quality of life for a fish in something so small as this clock aquarium will be poor. This tank is nothing more than a torture chamber for bettas.
