(More customer reviews)I kayak and found this to be a great fishfinder for the money, Its color so that was a factor in my choices to purchase this model. The range of beams enables me to focus in a large or narrow area, as I like to project ahead of my yak I found 30 feet to be a good distance for determing whats around me and how deep of water I'm in. The problem I have and you may to is the length of cable to the transducer. As with all fish locators their is a set length for each transducer to the receiver, Although people may tell you to cut and splice I don't recommend this as the resistance will change and trying to splice a water proof connection is almost impossible.
The clearity and resoulation of this device is tremendous. I only wish they could supply a short cable for us in smaller water crafts.
