(More customer reviews)You will get readings that vary wildly from one reading to the other. MY LFS tested my water to be 1.025, while this hydrometer was showing 1.022 in one reading and 1.028 in another despite tapping the bubbles off the needle. You will want to buy a refractometer after you purchase this so save yourself the $10 and invest in a refractometer. Look around and you may be able to find a used one for $30 or so.
