(More customer reviews)have had a 797 since they came out. was going to get the 898 but caught a special on amazon for $1311.07. has the 50 channel gps module. for some reason i thought this had an internal gps, but it doesn't. so you have to mount the puck as well.

(More customer reviews)This finder is great! Besides the side imaging, this is still a good unit. Definately reccomend buying a mapping card. The built in map is lacking. Very easy to use, once the transducer is well located, the side imaging will show you unbelivable bottom detail. Great buy, should have got one years ago!

Humminbird AS GR50 50 Channel GPS/WAAS Satellite Receiver Review

(More customer reviews)When I bought my Humminbird 718, I wanted to get a GPS receiver for it. I have been using a hand-held GPS for a while and this would eliminate the need for it.
The GR50 can either be installed on a flat surface or attached to the top of a flag pole. I have a 16' skiff with tiller control and opted to screw the receiver to the top edge of the side since I don't have a console. It has a very low profile and is a little bigger than a hockey puck. It picks up a GPS signal super fast and has many features. Primarily, I use it to show my speed and mark way-points. Install is very simple and basically involves plugging in the cable and screwing it to a flat surface.
