(More customer reviews)Please disregard the reviewer who wrote the glowing review about this product. This clock/tank is not a proper tank for even sea monkeys, let alone a betta fish. First of all, a half gallon tank is not proper housing for a betta fish unless it is to place him in something when you make water changes. Secondly the tank does not allow you to put a heater in it. Bettas requires to be in heated water somewhere between 75 to 80 degrees. Finally, bettas love to swim in and around plants and ornaments. Another thing is water changes. Betta fishes are sensitive to ammonia in the water. With a half gallon tank, a person would have to make daily water changes, no if's, and's, or but's about it. Bettas require to be in clean water. There is no place to put anything for the fish to keep busy or hide in case he or she feels insecure and shy. For $70 you can get a 10 gallon aquarium kit and an adjustable heater. Or if you are super cheap, get a medium/large Kritter Keeper and an adjustable heater, and make water changes every 2 to 3 days if the Kritter Keeper is unfiltered. Either way both options are better,so avoid this stupid AquaClock like the plague. This is a bad design all around. The company who makes it is just profiting off bad information about caring for betta fishes.
