(More customer reviews)This really works well, it works just like a hang-on-back power filter, except that it is driven by an air pump, however you should be aware that it won't work for really tiny fry unless you modify the outlet. The unit comes with 2 different grates for the outlet, the smallest of which has aprox. 1mm slits...big enough for many species of newly hatched fish to slip through. All you would have to do to modify it, however, is to cut a square of fine mesh to fit into the outlet slot. Other than that, I love this Breeding Satellite Box. Nice quality all around, crystal clear plastic for easy viewing, all the components are well built and fit together snugly. It even comes with a valve so you can adjust the air/water flow. It comes with everything you need, except the air pump.
The medium is 1.2 liter. If you have room, I'd get the large size which is 2 liters, but the medium is quite spacious and you can raise quite a few fry in it.
