(More customer reviews)The Gold Standard in Undergravel Filters earns this top honors at five stars.
Inexpensive low cost compared to the acquarium gravel you will be adding to make this work. You can operate this with a simple air pump and air tubing the way it comes. You can be creative and power this with an Aqua Clear or similar power filter or just a power filter. You can power this with a canister filter which will give you the option of setting it up as a reverse flow undergravel filter.
It is strong enough and sturdy enough to do its job of supporting the gravel, but if you stand on it you can be sure it will break. Other undergravel filters will work, but PerfectFlo has done as much as possible to make this work the best it can for you.
You can carefully trim the size by cutting the plastic with a sharp serranted knife. Read up so you understand the pros and cons and ultimate benefits from this type of filteration, you'll be glad to did so in the long run.
