(More customer reviews)This realistically ugly plastic log floats on the surface of the tank providing a hiding place for brooding mouthbrooders and chewed-on males. Like penn-plex's cliffs and caves, it provides a hiding place away from the prime territory at the tank bottoms, so the dominant males leave it alone. There are no suction cups to fail and it sits in a stable orientation and does not roll. It boast a "feeding hole", but I wouldn't use it. If the aggressive fish find food in they won't leave it alone.
