This power head/wave maker is definitely worth the money. It has replaced all internal pumps and powerheads in my 36 long tank. Because most of the unit is located outside of the tank, where all the heat is dissipated, my tank has also dropped quite a few degrees- which i had been trying to achieve for quite a while.
its reasonably quite, the slight noise is nothing to complain about.
one thing. i purchased the wireless device "wES". its doesn't mean there are no wires! it means it can control other units wirelessly. I never had any intention of buying another one for my 30gallon. so if you plan on buying only one. dont pay extra for the wES model.
do it.

I've tried the no-name brand filters for it, but none compare to the name brand of Marineland Emperor. It seems to last longer between replacements and is a much better product than the other name brands.

(More customer reviews)I wanted something small, so the newborns in my fish pond could handle it, and something that floats, so they have plenty of time to eat it, and so my child and I can watch the fish eat it. This fit both of those perfectly. Excellent floating, as I've had other fish foods that most of them float, and only for a little while. These seem to stay right on top till they're eaten, at least for the 5 or so minutes I've stayed and watched. As for nutrition or whatever, I have no idea, but the fish seem happy!

(More customer reviews)I replaced a cheap brand "beginner" protein skimmer with this model for my 75 gallon + 30 sump system. The break-in period was shorter than advertised, was already pulling out material in a few days.
Basically for the price point this is the best skimmer you can get until you start throwing down serious dollars on a out-of-sump model. I reviewed a large number of skimmers online and finally picked this one based on those conditions. Spend less than $100 and your skimmer is basically trash.. you won't get a good skimmer until about $300 and >. Since I already had a cheap skimmer I knew the problems.

(More customer reviews)I have 4 average size Koi and 6 large gold fish. All of my fish spit out this food. I had never seen a fish eat something and then spit it out. They try so hard eat the same piece several times and then immediately shoot it out of their mouth. I thought something was wrong with my fish or the water so i try regular fish sticks Tetra brand and they eat that well without spitting out. There must be something terribly bad with this food. I waisted my money on this large bag.

Algae Control, 100 ML Review

(More customer reviews)Before this I tried everything they recommend. No matter what I tried - frequent to daily water changes, low-to-no light, remove plants, less food - nothing worked. From the front of the 10 gallon tank it was impossible to see the plants and ceramics a third of the way back. I haven't been able to find the algae eater in weeks.
As a last resort, I bought this. The directions indicate 1ml for every 12 gallons. By that reckoning, this is well more than hundred doses for a 10 gallon tank. I don't have anything that can measure 1ml, so I gave it one good squirt and walked away.
It's probably worth noting that the directions also say to take your activated-charcoal filter out. Presumably that's because it will neutralize the stuff. Since I couldn't measure properly and didn't want to poison my fish, I didn't take mine out.
It's crystal-clear in there now. I mean GORGEOUS.
Still no sign of the algae eater... odd.
Boy, was I surprised to read the horror stories in the other reviews. So far, my fish look happy and my plants haven't died. If that changes, I'll come back and say so. Till then, I've got to say it's amazing.
EDIT: Just read one of the other reviews a little more carefully. She said she used three capfuls in her tank.
This bottle is intended to treat 1,200 gallons. Three capfuls is roughly a third of the bottle. Unless her tank is larger than 400 gallons, it's no wonder the fish are dying.

Omega One Super Veggie Kelp Flakes 2.2oz Review

(More customer reviews)My Betta fish started devouring these flakes even though they were for my shrimp, so I checked the label. Sure enough, these are not pure "veggie" flakes. They have fish and shrimp meal in them, all of which ended up being okay for my shrimp, but may not be suitable for true algae eaters. Next time I'll double check the ingredients before I buy.

(More customer reviews)I love this bio-media. I use it in my external canister filters on all my indoor aquariums as well as in my large 55 gallon up-flow bio-filter for my pond. Seachem's Pond Matrix is under used and underated in the pond world..........a lot of people on the Pond and Koi forums have never heard of it and don't use it, but if they did their homework, they most likely would. Seachem's only makes quality products and they are a company that is known for all the research they do in creating any and all of their products............there are NO juck products in their line-up. Pond Matrix has tremendous surface area (both external AND internal) for the good guy bacteria to grow on, so even if you give it a quick rinse under regular tap water, the beneficial bacteria would still be in good shape because the INTERNAL bacteria is still alive and would quickly spread to the external parts of the media upon start-up. It is NOT hard to clean like Lava Rock and many other filter medias, so this bio-media makes filter maintenance quick and easy! Check out Seachem's web site and give this bio-media a try out. You will be glad that you did!!!

16 Ounce Ich Attack - Part #: 39446 Review

(More customer reviews)I have a 55 gal tank with lots of plants, fish, ghost shrimp, and some snails. Saw the dreaded white spots all over my black neons and X-ray tetras and my brother had an old bottle of this stuff so we tried it and about a week later the ich was cured. It worked well for me and didn't kill my plants or any shrimp. The recommended dose was 1 capful for each 10 gallons once a day so I spread it out a little using 3 capfulls in the morning and 3 in the evening so there was a more even amount in the tank all the time. It has a garlic smell and you can almost judge how much is in there just by opening the tank lid and smelling inside. I changed 1/5 of my water 2 days after starting treatment and every other day after that adding a dose after the water change for about 10 days and this seemed to keep everything happy. On the bottle it says it only kills the ich in its free swimming larvae stage so it won't get the white spots off your fish immediately or out of their gills but when these spots pop and release their spores into the water to infect other fish it kills them before they can find a new host. Overall I like it because I don't have to try and take out all my snails and shrimp to treat my tank, just put it in there and it works. Oh I also raised the tank temp to 80 degrees, read the ichs only live a couple days till they die from the heat.
